DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRODUCT
ALICANTE BOUSCHET FINE DRY RED WINE
Alicante Bouschet was created by crossing Petit Bouschet and Grenache grapes.
Get ready: You're about to taste a full-bodied, tannic, persistent red wine with notes of ripe red and black fruits.
Production Region: Vale dos Vinhedos – Bento Gonçalves
Composition: Alicante Bouschet 100%.
Vineyards: Owned, cultivated with certified seedlings, with a maximum production of 7 tons/ha. Phenolic maturation is controlled to obtain the highest sugar content, soft and ripe tannins.
The harvest is done manually and selectively.
Climatic Characteristics: Cold winters , pleasant springs, hot summers with cool nights; this temperature range has given these vintages structured and complex wines.
Winemaking: Wines made with selected grapes. After destemming, selected yeast was added to initiate fermentation at a temperature between 24 and 28 ºC. During fermentation, pump-overs were performed gently. Skin separation was carried out after a week of maceration, when the tannins and anthocyanins were already dissolved in the wine. It was left for a month on the fine lees to achieve greater complexity and structure, where malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously. It then matured in stainless steel tanks until aging in oak barrels.
Organoleptic Characteristics
Appearance: Wine with a beautiful, intense red color.
Aroma: Complex aroma with notes reminiscent of spices, such as cinnamon and black pepper, possibly presenting smoky, vanilla and chocolate touches if aged in oak barrels.
Palate: Structured, full-bodied, pronounced tannins.
Aging: In French and American oak barrels for 12 months, followed by 12 months in the cellars for bouquet development.
Estimated storage life: We suggest 4 to 6 years after bottling if stored horizontally, away from light and at a temperature between 13 and 15 ° C.
Pairing: Goes well with picanha, ossobuco, wild boar, and red meats with a good fat content.
Serving temperature: It displays its best characteristics between 16 and 18°C.
Analytical Characteristics:
•Alcohol: 12.1% by volume.
